Where: Fountain Courtyard behind the Holiday Inn

What: Scotty brown Golf Tournie Celebrate the spirit of Scotty Brown at the fourth annual golf tournament in his name. Tickets are $100 which includes lunch, dinner, prizes, golf and cart fees. All proceeds are for charity. Contact Derek at 604-894-5223 or Siri at 604-905-9152 for info.

What: BC RIVERS ? DAY Celebrate BC ? Rivers Day with the Whistler Fisheries Stewardship Group. The event is designed to increase public awareness of the values and benefits of our waterways. Events tentatively planned include free canoe use, scavenger hunt by canoe, educational display tents, fly fishing demos and more. For info contact Andrea Mead at 604-935-8323.

What: BOOK ? FAIR The fair offers a wide variety of new children’s books and other related items for sale. The fair runs at the Myrtle Philip School Wed. and Thurs. 11:45 to 12:30 and 2:30 to 4 p.m. as well as Tues. and Thurs. from 6:30 to 8 p.m. At Spring Creek School the fair runs Tues. Wed. and Thurs. from 11:50 to 12:25 and 3 to 8 p.m. The lunchtimes are for student purchases only. The public is invited in the afternoons and evenings.
