Splitz Grill is coming to the rescue of employee Shelby Prosser, a cashier who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in February. They have been holding auctions through the months of April, and on Monday, May 4 - Shelby Prosser Day - Splitz is donating all of its proceeds plus staff wages to help Prosser cover her bills while she goes through treatment.

ALL is a cancer of the white blood cells, which is characterized by an excess of lymphoblasts that can crowd out normal cells. Although it is most common in children, it does strike adults. Treatments can include chemotherapy, steroids, radiation therapy, bone marrow and stem cell transplants, and a combination of all the above.

Drop by Splitz any time Monday to buy a burger, bid on items, or make a donation to support a worthy local.
