324 / 21,230 – The number of miles Whistler’s Will Routley pedalled in the annual Tour of the Gila five stage road race in New Mexico last week with the Symmetrics team, and the number of vertical feet of climbing over four of those stages. To put that into perspective, Denali, the highest peak in North America, is only 20,320 feet.

10 – The number of years the Whistler Classic squash tournament has been held at Meadow Park, coinciding with the opening of the courts in 1994. Check it out this week, from May 14 to May 16.

50 – The number of volunteers participating in the Pemberton Valley Trail Association’s Trail Daze on April 18, cleaning up local mountain bike trails to get them ready for the season. The Whistler Off Road Cycling Association hopes to see at least that many out this Sunday, May 9, for its Trail Daze event. Meet at Gaitors at 9 a.m. to kick off the trail sweep with a complementary pancake breakfast.

11 – The number of locals who took part in the 33 rd annual Adidas Vancouver International Marathon last weekend. Ian Goard was the top Whistler runner, completing the 42 kilometre race in 2:55:57. Nineteen locals also took part in the half-marathon.
