Sprite Sessions continue with halfpipe

Spring ahead eliminates some participants

The second of two Sprite Park Rider Sessions halfpipe contests took place on Sunday in a hard-packed pipe on Blackcomb. The turnout was lower than expected (partly because some athletes forgot to turn their clocks ahead one hour) but the level of competition was still high, with each competitor getting three judged runs.

The last three Sprite-sponsored events this season are all rail jams, and will take place on May 7, May 14 and May 21 on Whistler Mountain. Advance registration is available at any Whistler-Blackcomb Guest Relations or Ski School Sales desk or on the day of the event until 9:45 a.m. in the Roundhouse Lodge.
