The annual Strut Your Stuff fall registration fair is taking place Saturday, Sept. 12, with dozens of community sports, arts and recreation groups setting up booths at Myrtle Philip Community Centre to register kids for the upcoming year. Groups ranging from gymnastics to hockey to martial arts to dance host tables at the event, allowing parents to handle all their kids' registration in one place at one time, as well as to ask questions and learn about different programs.

Families can also apply for Kidsport grants to help with the cost of enrolling their kids in approved sports, recreation and arts programs that meet Kidsport criteria. Grants of up to $300 are available per year for kids aged five to 18 and must go towards participant and registration fees.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and all community groups serving youth are invited to reserve tables. To reserve a table contact the Resort Municipality of Whistler at 604-935-8350 and indicate course #13236. For more information contact Sheila Mozes at 604-905-9393 or Stephanie at 604-902-1433.

All Star Wrestling rebounds into Squamish

Back by popular demand, All Star Wrestling is returning to Squamish with "Sea to Sky Mayhem" - five wrestling matches taking place at Totem Hall on Friday, Sept. 18.

The event opens with All Star Wrestling alumni Big Bad Chad and The Mighty Iton, followed by a bout between The Panama Wasp and "Mayor" Austin Spencer. Spencer, if you're a fan, is the only B.C. wrestler ever to train at the World Wrestling Entertainment facility in Florida.

The Grudge Match portion of the evening features "Golden Lion" Gurv Sihra versus "The Ideal Reflection" Christopher Ryseck, both of whom have a chance at a title shot depending on the outcome of the battle. Ryseck is based out of Tacoma, and was just featured on the MTV show Made.

Next up is the PWA B.C. Championship heavyweight match featuring "Prince Of Power" Lak Siddartha, the reigning champion, versus Johnny Obsession.

The Main Event is a tag team championship scheduled for two of three falls. Collin Cutler and Adam Fedyk (The Kelownafornians), who won their tag team titles in August, will go up against Seth Knight and The Great Kasaki, the previous champions.

Tickets are $15 for the front row, and general admission is $12. Kids under 12 are $10.

You can pick up your tickets in advance at Billie's Bouquet on Cleveland Avenue or at Totem Hall, or at the door at 7:15 p.m. on fight night.
