Taekwondo School in the medals

The Whistler Taekwondo School emerged from the Richmond International Taekwondo Championships last month with a stack of medals after facing 600 competitors from Hong Kong, Washington, Oregon and around B.C.

The Whistler athletes participated in the sparring competitions, winning 13 medals.

In the Ages 7 and 8 category, Liam Measure earned a gold, Zac Mann a silver, and James Crew and Arnel Edigo a pair of bronzes.

Jordan Chew, Felix Jauvin and Ali Measure won bronze medals in the Ages 9 and 10 group.

Austin Thind won gold in the Ages 11 and 12 category, followed by teammates Sierra Manuel and Marc Cho with silver medals, and James Brett with a bronze.

In the Ages 13 and 14 group, Kriby Chew and Andrew Griffiths won bronze medals.

The Whistler Taekwando School is coached by Master Dawn Lefebvre and Head Instructor Jan Larsen.
