Team Jelly Belly on a roll

Whistler's Will Routley played an integral part in securing his team, Team Jelly Belly presented by Kenda, with another tour win, this time at the Tour of Korea - the longest cycling stage race in Asia with 1,500 km of road riding over 10 days.

Routley was solid on all 10 days, and on the last day he was part of the break that put teammate Michael Friedman on top of the Tour of Korea general classification. As well, the team won the overall title, it's second in a row after winning the Tour of Thailand in April. The team also placed three riders in the top five at the Redlands Bicycle Classic, including Routley who placed second in that race and won a stage.

The win was another team effort, with riders taking on roles that were less than glamorous at times, but kept the team in contention heading into the final sprint.

"We know we have a solid squad who can all ride with the best in the sport," said team manager Danny Van Haute. "At a team camp a saying came up, 'respect all, fear none.' Sure, the Pro Tour teams have big names and big budgets, but when the flag drops everyone is just a bike racer and our guys are all about surprising people this year."

Next up for Team Jelly Belly is the Amgen Tour of California, which runs from May 16 to 23.
