DUAL MOUNTAIN MISCHIEF

The Whistler Rotary Club is putting on an evening of interactive dinner theatre, performed by the Corporate Play People. Dual Mountain Mischief will be held Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, with proceeds going to the Whistler Adaptive Ski Program equipment centre. Tickets are $65 (tax receipt for $20) and available by calling 604-905-4256. Ask for JoAnne.

WORCA BIKE SWAP

Bikes to buy, bikes to sell. The swap is Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola.

MOUTON-CADET SPRING FESTIVAL

The 20 th Annual Spring Festival features the Passholders race Saturday, April 27 at the Pontiac Race Centre on Whistler Mountain. That’s followed in the afternoon by the reception at the Chateau Whistler, featuring offerings from Whistler restaurants and Select Wine Merchants. Sunday is the annual restaurant race at the Pontiac Race Centre.

PEMBERTON TRADE FAIR

The theme for this year’s event is the Roaring 20s. April 27, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Pemberton Secondary school.

AWARE MEETING

The Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment presents Dr. William Rees (co-author of Our Ecological Footprint ) speaking about Sustainability and Globalization Trends. Thursday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Delta Whistler Resort (Mount Currie South Ballroom). Presented in association with the Whistler. It's Our Nature community sustainability initiative. WALKING BEARS

Whistler Bearlife Slide Series features local black bear researcher Michael Allen Tuesday, May 7, 7 p.m. at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Topics include shaking off hibernation, why bear cubs are so small, and Allen’s cougar project. $10 admission. Proceeds support the winter 2002-03 Sleeping Bear Program. Also presented May 1, 7 p.m. at Squamish Public Library.

WHISTLER INTERNATIONAL WINE FESTIVAL.

The 12 th annual festival takes place Thursday, May 9, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Proceeds go to the Whistler Public Library.
