THE HERITAGE OF OUR TOWN>>

Local athletes will be sharing memories, telling stories and participating in a Trivia Game at MY Place on Sat. Feb. 22 from 7-9 p.m. The event, which is part of Celebration 2010, is free, so dress up in your old Olympic gear and join in.

GUILTY PLEASURES OF THE CANADIAN PALATE>>

Two hour taste-a-thon from Whistler’s best restaurants and Canada’s finest wineries at the Westin Resort & Spa on Sun. Feb. 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. Tickets are $24.95.

LITERARY LEANINGS>>

The Whistler Writer’s Group will have two literary events at Uli’s Flipside in Creekside on Sun. Feb. 23 & 24 at 9 p.m.

SCIENCE IN THE HIGH CANOPY OF ANCIENT RAINFORESTS>>

The Whistler Naturalists present Dr. Neville Winchester who will take guests on a journey through some of Canada’s oldest forests on Thurs. Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at MY Place.

DANCE MEDIA ON THE SLOPES>>

An outdoor show with live performances and technical projections on the snow right onto the base of Whistler Mountain on Fr. Feb. 28 at 8 p.m. There will be local performers as well as some well-known BC artists.

CASINO NIGHT – MIYA LAS VEGAS>>

Pemberton exchange students are looking to raise some money for their Miya, Japan exchange fund with a casino night at the Pemberton Secondary School on Sat. MEETINGS

MATURE ACTION COMMITEE AGM>>

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Mon. Feb. 24 at MY Place. MAC members, potential members and the public are invited. Guest speakers include Tim Wake, Whistler Housing Authority, and Bob MacPherson, of the RMOW. Discussions will focus on seniors’ housing opportunities in Whistler, among other things.
