TELUS WORLD SKI & SNOWBOARD FESTIVAL>>

There’s something for everyone at the 8 th annual WSSF. Among the bands and the athletes there’s the pro photographer search and showdown (April 14,15 and 17 respectively.) There’s also the filmmaker showdown on April 16. Check out www.livelarge.ca for more info. WSSF runs from April 11-20.

NEIL FAULKNER MEMORIAL>>

Remember Whistler ski patroller Neil Faulkner who died one year ago in the Canadian Rockies at Dusty’s on Sat. April 12 at 5 p.m. The evening is open to everyone.

GRADE 6 CAR WASH>>

Get your cars cleaned by Grade Sixers at the Marketplace parking lot on Sun. April 13 between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds from the car wash will go towards an overnight field trip to Vancouver in May.

GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP>>

BLACK BEAR WORKSHOP SERIES>> Learn about bears and the weather and how they adjust their seasonal activity to accommodate changes in denning, emergence and fall feeding strategies on Tues. April 15 with local bear researcher Michael Allen. This is the first in a monthly black bear workshop series. The event runs from 7-9 p.m. at the Delta Whistler Village Suites.

INFORMAL SALOON DINNER FUNDRAISER>>

A fundraiser at the Longhorn will get you dinner and two beers for $25 along with the chance to buy raffle tickets for some great prizes. The money raised will go towards to the Dave Sheets Foundation , CARDA and the CAA. The dinner is on Thurs. April 17 from 6-9 p.m. Buy tickets at the Longhorn at any time.
