MUSIC FROM PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND>>
The newest fiddling sensation out of PEI, 18-year-old Cynthia MacLeod, will get your toes a tappin at MY Place along with singer/guitarist Gordon Belsher. The duo will play on Sat. Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. They will play a variety of traditional and original songs. Tix are $15 for adults, $12 for students/seniors.
3 rd ANNUAL LOST LAKE SHUFFLE/SKIFEST>>
Cross country skiers start your engines! Theres a 3.5 km course at Lost Lake waiting for relay teams or solo skiers to do as many laps as possible in four hours. Categories include family, youth, male, female and mixed teams in either classic or skate ski techniques. The shuffle will begin at 11 a.m. on Sun. Jan. 11. SKIFEST will take place on the same day with free trail use for the day as well as introductory lessons, and free hot chocolate and snacks. WATERSHED CD RELEASE>>
Performances from musicians from the Rutherford Creek Collective will mark the release of Watershed, a benefit CD for family members of victims of the Rutherford Creek flooding tragedy. A vibrant percussion troupe that has played in Whistler before is back at MY Place to stir the heart again. Check out their experimentation with movement, sound and multimedia on Sat. Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. Tix are $20 for adults and $17 for seniors/students.

Whistlers three female municipal councillors, Caroline Lamont, Kristi Wells and Marianne Wade will discuss recent council issues and share their personal experiences about life on council.
