Tuned women hopefuls have one last chance

What: Tuned Women auditions

Where : MY (Millennium) Place

When : Sunday, Nov. 9 by appointment

Female musicians of all genres, instruments and ages who wish to perform with the second Tuned Women showcase of original music this February have one last shot to audition this Sunday, between noon and 3 p.m.

The event is being organized by MY Place’s Gillie Easdon and Tessa McLoughlin of Whistler Community Services. Both were performers in last April’s first Tuned Women event, which received a standing ovation from a sold-out audience.

The second event will follow in the original’s successful footsteps by doubling as a fundraiser for McLoughlin’s support group for women with eating disorders, and will feature original music only, performed principally by females. Potential performers are asked to prepare two songs that show their range.

Tuned Women hopefuls should call Gillie Easdon at 604-935-8410 to schedule an audition.
