To kick off summer, the Whistler Chamber of Commerce has opened three visitor information booths in the village.

In addition to the log cabin information centre in Creekside, the chamber has a booth in the village bus loop and two kiosks, in Whistler Village Centre and in Town Plaza.

The chamber has hired and trained seven information counsellors for the summer, as well as a new supervisor responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centres. The information counsellors went through a training program that included being certified through Tourism B.C. and experiencing the attractions and services Whistler has to offer. The information counsellors’ role is to promote the resort, encourage longer stays and serve the needs of visitors and chamber members.

Whistler-Blackcomb, which is encouraging visitors to take a ride up Whistler Mountain this summer, has placed gondola cars next to each of the kiosks and the village booth.

The two chamber kiosks are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, while the village booth is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.

The Creekside office is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
