Wanderlust, the music and yoga festival that added Whistler to its tour stop last year, has announced its lineup for 2013.
Among the eclectic list of performers is Moby, a veteran of the early 90s dance music scene, Sarah Neufeld, B.C.-bred violinist for indie rock bands like Arcade Fire and Bell Orchestre, Trombone Shorty, a Grammy-nominated trombone player and Femi Kuti, a Nigerian musician and son of afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.
The event also includes a long list of yoga instructors like Seane Corn, Shiva Rea and Ana Forrest. Speakers run the gamut from Democratic congressman Tim Ryan to Dr. Mark Hyman — an MD who focuses on “functional medicine” and has five New York Times bestselling books to his name.
“Wanderlust offers a completely unique experience that is both an escape from everyday life and a meeting place for a rapidly growing community of mindful people,” said festival co-founder Jeff Krasno in a release. “By combining powerful yoga classes, inspirational music, natural and organic dining, and a thought-provoking series of speakers, we've created a movement that brings guests back time and again."
Tickets for the festival, which runs from Aug. 1 – 4, go on sale Feb. 12. For more information visit wanderlustfestival.com.
