Westin names new GM

Long-time Ontario exec heads west to Whistler

A 22-year Westin veteran is the new general manager of Whistler’s Westin Resort and Spa, the hotel’s operators announced July 12.

Trevor Graham, who has worked in the chain’s urban and resort properties in Toronto and Muskoka, will step into his new position Aug. 28. Graham joined Westin Hotels in 1984 after working in several golf and country clubs and hotels in the late 1970s and early 1980s. A graduate of Guelph University’s MBA program, Graham has held positions with Westin as director in convention services, sales, operations and was most recently general manager of the Delta Grandview Resort in Huntsville, Ontario.

"We were delighted to have found an individual whose hotel experience and resort background matched what we needed in a general manager for our Whistler property," said John O’Neill, a principal in OHR Whistler Management Ltd. "His experience managing owner relations, brand integrity, golf club members and new development within a resort destination is the perfect fit for us," O’Neill said in a press release.

Graham and his wife, Cynthia have two adult children, Jennifer and Justin, who also work in hospitality. Graham is an avid golfer and skier.
