Maxx Fish's Uncorked New Year's Eve event has been canceled due to flooding in the building.
Instead, Harajuku Izakaya will share its grand reopening with the beleaguered bar, holding a fundraiser for the 26 staff members who will be jobless during renovations that are expected to take two to three weeks.
DJ RPM will be spinning at the new party, which is admission by donation with all proceeds going towards the flood relief. Doors open at 6 p.m.
All tickets were purchased on clubzone.com and the charges were reversed electronically, says Brenton Smith of O&R Entertainment.
Organizers also sent out an e-mail to ticket purchasers to tell them the event has been cancelled. A sign has been posted up on the door at Maxx Fish to let patrons know about the closure.
