If you have expertise in constructing and financing housing projects the Whistler Housing Authority needs your help.
"We want to add a new director the board," said Tim Wake of the hosuing authority.
"We are really getting involved more with partnering with the private sector to deliver projects like Bear Ridge.
"So we are thinking that it would be nice to get to the full seven on the board again and have more expertise in the area of development of housing and the financing of housing projects."
The board has run with six members for some time ever since the mayor stepped aside as a voting member.
There are excellent members on the board who have some of this experience, said Wake.
"But more is needed," he added.
"We are not done with building this stuff. There are huge challenges about where we build it, how we build it, how we finance it, and how we make it more sustainable, so a little more expertise would help."
Anyone interested in the volunteer position (no pay and no expense budget) can contact Wake at 604-905-4688.
