Whistler man sentenced to seven months in jail

Pleads guilty to break and enter, fraud and more

A 26-year-old Whistler man was sentenced to seven months in jail Dec. 8 after pleading guilty to four counts of break and enter, two counts of fraud and one count of personation.

Christian Parslow was arrested on Oct. 3 after Whistler RCMP began investigating a break and enter to a residence in the 4800 block of Glacier Drive. The investigation found that Parslow was illegally residing in a neighbouring residence in the condo complex.

The file led RCMP investigators to look at several other break and enters in the area, as well as various credit card frauds.

Parslow also fraudulently collected rent from roommates for the residence in which, according to the owner and property management company, he had no right to reside.

Victims of the crimes were from as far away as Ontario.

In addition to his seven-month jail term Parslow’s sentence includes two year's probation.
