Mounties have released several photographs of individuals they are interested in speaking to.

"I don't have anything I can put out there as far as the details of what happened are," said Sgt. Rob Knapton.

No other information on the incident has been released by police.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the people in the photographs is asked to contact Cpl. Diane Blain at 604-932-3044.

POLICE LOOKING FOR BIKE THIEVES CAUGHT ON TAPE

Two men were spotted on surveillance footage last week stealing several bicycles from a village storage locker, police said.

Whistler RCMP was notified on Sept. 9 that four bikes had been taken from the 4200 block of Gateway Drive at around 5:15 a.m.

The first suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 35 to 40 years old, heavy set, between 185 cm and 188 cm (six-foot-one-inch and six-foot-three-inches), wearing a green camouflage jacket with black sleeves and a black hood, black baseball hat, black track pants, black Nike shoes and an olive green backpack with blue straps.

The second male is described as Caucasian, approximately 40 to 45 years old, between 173 cm and 178 cm (five-foot-eight-inches and five-foot-ten-inches), thin set, wearing a bright yellow bike helmet, navy blue zip-up sweater, black track pants, black Nike shoes and a black and light blue backpack with black straps.

Three other bicycles were also reported stolen in the past week. The first, a blue and yellow men's nine-speed Rocky Mountain Flatline model, was reported missing on Sept. 7 from the 4200 block of Blackcomb Way.

The same day another bike was reported stolen from the 4800 block of Spearhead Drive. It's believed to have occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 7.

The bike is described as a 2016 men's 11-speed Santa Cruz 5010 mountain bike, matte black and yellow in colour with 27-inch wheels.

The following day another bike reportedly went missing from in front of a business in the 4500 block of Chateau Boulevard.

The theft is thought to have taken place between 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 6 and 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 7.

The bike is a men's 2014 Giant Glory mountain bike, yellow and black in colour with a small frame and no after-market parts.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call Whistler RCMP or BC Crime Stoppers.
