Whistler RCMP has released images of some of the jewellery taken in a smash and grab recently.
The theft at a local art gallery on Whistler Way resulted in the theft of roughly $15,000 in jewellery.
The police responded to an audible alarm at the store just after 4 a.m. on Mar. 9. A thief, his face covered, broke through the glass door of the establishment, smashed a nearby glass case and quickly stole the jewellery before leaving.
The RCMP is investigating security footage from the store, as well as nearby businesses to try and identify the suspect, as well as another man who was outside the store when the theft occurred. If you have any information, contact the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
