Whistler RCMP plan to host a town hall meeting, to provide residents with information about local policing priorities and measures that are currently in place to meet these priorities.

The meeting will be held in Whistler Secondary School’s multi-purpose room on Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.

Members of the community are encouraged to attend the forum, and there will be an opportunity for the public to pose questions to RCMP members.

Calls for Service

As opening day approaches, the RCMP are responding to more calls.

This past weekend, Sea to Sky Regional Police Services responded to 57 calls for service. Calls included seven noise complaints, four calls for causing a disturbance, four counts of drinking in public, two impaired driving calls, two collisions, one driving complaint and two thefts.

Whistler RCMP remind the public that calls involving the irresponsible use of alcohol or noise complaints will be taken seriously, and could result in hefty fines.
