Biglines.com, an online ski and snowboard magazine based in Calgary, is offering six athletes the opportunity to win the Freeride Scholarship for this season.
This Saturday, Nov. 8, the six athletes and teams nominated will present short video segments and speeches to a panel of industry judges explaining why they deserve to win the scholarship.
Biglines.com will donate 10 per cent of all profits from the various events the online magazine hosts to the selected rider or group, helping to cover rent and other costs while they work towards their pro dreams.
Whistler skier Matt Richard is on the list of scholarship finalists, in addition to Mike Nixon of Revelstoke, Dave Treadway of Fernie, Chris Vigh of Kananaskis, Theory 3 Media of Seattle, and Ryan Johannesen of Golden.
