The Riverside Resort campground officially has a new owner.

The 14-hectare Mons Road property was purchased Nov. 3 by Calgary-based Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities.

“We’re excited about the acquisition of this remarkable property and we look forward to welcoming the Riverside Resort staff to the growing Parkbridge team,” said Lachlan MacLean, the company’s VP of property operations, in a release. “Riverside Resort is a unique property, being the only RV resort within Whistler municipal boundaries, and is located only 1.2 kilometers from Whistler Village.”

Riverside Resort offers a variety of four-season accommodation, including log cabins, winterized RV sites, walk-in tent sites and yurts. The property is also home to four commercial tenants, including the 7,315-square-metre Scandinave Spa.

With the addition of Riverside Resorts to its portfolio, Parkbridge now owns a total of 17 B.C. properties.

The company operates on a land-lease model, meaning it owns and operates the land, amenities and infrastructure while residents own the dwellings.
