Happy Thursday, Whistler! Here's how things are shaping up out there so far.

Today's forecast calls for a few showers with a high of about 6 C in Whistler. A low of 2 C is expected overnight, with a few showers. Looking to tomorrow, the forecast calls for clearing skies, with a high of about 13 C.

On the mountain, Whistler Blackcomb (WB) is forecasting temps of about -2 C today, with calm winds. The mountain operator is reporting one centimetre of fresh snow in the past 24 hours, while the freezing level sits at 1,200 metres.

"Snow continues tonight and then tapers off to a few isolated flurries on Friday. The weekend looks pleasant with mild temperatures and lots of sunshine. Some flurries are expected Monday and then back to dry and mostly sunny conditions Tuesday and Wednesday," WB said in its morning report.

WB is reporting 54 groomed runs covering 606 acres on Whistler, and 67 groomed runs covering 519 acres on Blackcomb.

Alpine surface conditions are listed as soft-packed, while mid-mountain is listed as variable.

The avalanche danger rating in the Sea to Sky is currently considerable, according to Avalanche Canada.

"Avalanche danger will increase throughout the day as new snow accumulates. Watch for changing conditions and dial back your terrain choices if you see signs of instability," the avalanche forecaster said on its website.
