19 mile water

Excavation crews working on the 19 Mile Creek employee housing project have "found more water in the pond than they anticipated," but there was no indication early this week if plans would have to be modified. John Nelson, director of public works for the municipality, said consultants were assessing at the situation earlier this week. A pond has existed in the middle of the site for years. It is believed it is fed by 19 Mile Creek. Excavation crews have released some of the water from the pond. The pond is to be incorporated into the 19 Mile Creek employee housing project. Meanwhile, some pre-loading of the Lorimer Road employee housing project site was apparently done without a permit.
