Re: “It's hurry up and wait ...

And that is why I am running for Mayor in the next election. Whistler needs a TRUE Libertarian market. You, as we know since I exposed you, are a Liberal. That means you want to TAX all that CBD to reinvest in your ego projects; probably proping up your own failing media interests. I want to lower taxes, create real affordable housing through incentive programmes created by redistributing funds from the fake global warming hoax and tourism investments, and then make life for LOCALS not just great again, but better than ever! Together, Whistler, we can Bring LOCAL Back. Toodaloo, short boy!

But I digress, Gopher D Maxwell is just triggered and mad because I got his number...which for the uninitiated is 666.

Re: “Wascally wodents ... meet their match

Id also like to add you insult the Iranian-Canadian community with your words and demand a public apology to them. If you truly dont know who Antifa is, you have no place commenting upon politics outside of very local generic topics, as your gopher-like head must be buried deep up your you know what! LOL.

Re: “Wascally wodents ... meet their match

LOL I should hope you know who I am, I mean I did write a Letter to the Editor about you last week which was published with my full name and location attached...LOL. Your coded Antifa-like language is unbecoming, GD. Or should I call you Gopher Boy Maxwell, in the same way you attach negative handles to those whom you disagree with politically?! Your opinions are stale, and its time for a new VOICE in Whistler to speak for THE PEOPLE. I challenge you to a debate. My article verses yours, posted online and voted you accept my challenge. We can do topic of your choice, but I suggest something political. Lets get it on!

Re: “Wascally wodents ... meet their match

Your whining is getting stale, NTA, as is your cowardice hiding behind a pseudonym. On the other hand, I can understand your wish to remain anonymous. Any "business owner" who calls for a boycott must understand it's a two-edged sword. Patience, grasshopper; I know who your are.

Re: “Wascally wodents ... meet their match

As a local business owner, I hereby call for a boycott of advertising in The Pique until GD Maxwell is removed from his position. Heres why:
GD Maxwell has continuously attempted to gin up violence against Conservatives, Libertarians, Christians and right-leaning Canadians. His verbiage and hate speech has only escalated as time has passed. Many of the people who live here and those who come here to visit are one of the above mentioned group. I personally am a Gnostic Christian and a right-leaning Libertarian. My Not Racist family, who lives in Ontario voted for Doug Ford. Many of my clients who come here from America voted Republican in recent years. GD Maxwell uses words, but the political left has said time and time again that words ARE violence.
Its time to go Max. Go now. Dont waste time asking yourself why you should go. Just leave.

Re: “You can't make this stuff up ...

It is a high statistical probability . That actually is a fact. The odds that you have even a scintilla of the required skill to formulate a reliable judgement on anything that you just listed is so statistically low that I'm willing to bet 200 bucks on it right now and I can back it up. I can prove to a substantive degree that you lack the required skill.

To that end you must provide your full identifying name along with all your professional and academic training and experience. You know.... sort of like how any credible professional accounts for themselves

You game big boy?

Re: “You can't make this stuff up ...

Once again you present no facts just attack. You cant back anything up that you say. As usual turns in to a game of Wack a Mole with Libtards never focusing on topic and hand. Obfuscate Obfuscate Obfuscate until confusion sets in

Re: “You can't make this stuff up ...

What "you would say" would be worth listening to if you actually had any skill.

Unfortunately, you fall prey to the common error of gloating over the often used quote from Mark Twain without even knowing the full quote and the scientifically robust meaning that becomes obvious if only you did:

"Mark Twain popularized the saying in Chapters from My Autobiography, published in the North American Review in 1906. "Figures often beguile me," he wrote, "particularly when I have the arranging of them myself; in which case the remark attributed to Disraeli would often apply with justice and force: 'There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

Statistics beguile you DavidM...... particularly when you arrange them yourself.

I got news for you. You are that fish in the barrel you talk about!

Ken Lay came up with cap and trade before he was exposed in one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in history ?
Theres multiple computer models and they pick the one that enforces the narrative?
We are still skiing to the bottom of Whistler when told we wouldnt by now?
All Gore Has 4 homes and two planes?
The 97% consensus is 100% false ?
We have spent trillions and the computer model still predicts a dire future?
Justin Trudeau and his family have a negative carbon footprint ?

Re: “You can't make this stuff up ...

I'll bet you. 200 bucks lets say. The bet is that on average the world is warmer today than it was 10 years ago and that the consensus expert opinion is that it is mostly due to anthropogenic global warming.

So pony up big mouth. Start with your full name, followed by 200 bucks

Re: “Deadly pollution does not respect borders

Global warming is for sure a hoax. GD Maxwell is a doomsday prophet no different than the Evangelicals he hates so much. Global warming is the new youll burn in Hell for your sins, control mechanism of the globalist elites that GD and the Pique are beholden too. Beware of anyone who uses fear rather than Free Will!!! Also, how is GD different than Trump with disparaging handles for those he disagrees with? Dont set the bar too high there, GD. You might have a big fall one day....

Re: “Deadly pollution does not respect borders

Im from Hamilton, Ontario. My family voted for Doug Ford because of Antifa and triggered snowflakes in the media like you, GD. Also, the endless taxes of Liberals made it very easy to vote Ford Nation. Andy Ngo forever!

Re: “When polls are meaningless ...

GD Maxwell has exposed himself as being not only biased, not only anti-Canadian, but a Far Left sympathizer of Antifa. I hereby call for the immediate removal of GD Maxwell from this platform; a platform through which he has abused his power and chosen to continuously spew Hate Speech against Conservatives, Christians and politically right-leaning individuals. I stand in solidarity with Andy Ngo. Dear patriots, let us march on the offices of the Pique and demand better from these globalists!

Re: “You can't make this stuff up ...

This is all hyperbolic from both sides. Anyone with half a brain and access to information can easily find out that the weather has always been unstable . The data shows that there have been no increases in hurricanes floods or tornadoes. The planet has been warming since the last ice age and now In hiatus. People will adapt until we eventually get sucked into orbit or bomb each other to bits.Cancel your democracy now membership GD they are lying to you. In 12 years we will still be skiing out to the village and AOC will be back bartending. Im willing to wager as much as you want. Be forewarned my other bets against the Libranos have made me a small fortune. Shooting fish in a barrel.

Re: “It begins with acknowledging prejudices

Max - please don't ever stop ruminating on the laments of North America, Canada, B.C., Whistler or whatever local bear is causing strife. The Pique, it's community and I are so much better off for your 24 years of golden banter - keep up the great work and give my love to the misses and Bob.

Re: “It begins with acknowledging prejudices

Your so tolerant because you had some Hispanic friends when you were young . As long as they didnt grow up to be conservatives!
One has to only go to the Pemho on check day to see what the problems are in the aboriginal communities. Truth is that most assaults on aboriginal women are committed by drunk aboriginal men . The war should be on alcohol but thats a government cash cow so its a no go.
90 percent of all homicides are solved in Canada . The same is true for aboriginal communities 90 percent . Just another attempt by the liberals to sway the ever important female vote with a manufactured crisis .

Re: “Independent, but at what cost?

Hi Max: You are right on with your article. The Jody and Jane show is all about....Jody and Jane. That said, it was incredibly naive and ill advised on the part of the PM to appoint two rookie MP's who were both incredibly inexperienced in public office and grossly under-qualified to among the most senior of cabinet positions. For that he, the Liberal Party and Canada at large have suffered a body blow. It could mean that a party with absolutely no viable climate action plan (i.e. the "Reform/Alliance/Conservatives" under Andrew Scheer) could take power because of the petulance and sanctimony of two first-time MP's. Clearly they both should have paid their dues on the back bench before being given the opportunity to throw all of their colleagues under the bus. Good riddance to both of them and let's move on.

Re: “Independent, but at what cost?

Hi Max. I don't very often disagree with you but we're miles apart on this one.

It seems to me that this whole affair revolves around SNC-Lavalin's business and political ethics. I'm not innocent enough to believe that world business is played on Boy Scout rules. Ive worked in a SE Asian company where there was an account to keep track of bribes paid. I learned that we in Canada are very naive in our approach to ethics in general and in business in particular. I value that naivety.

I do not get too upset when SNC-Lavalin pays bribes in countries where they are almost compulsory, but international financial organizations are cracking down on this practice. I do get upset when they bring these practices back to Canada, such as they did with the Montreal Hospital scandal. Four people including SNC's CEO have pled guilty on that one so far.

I agree with JWR that there was a critical principle involved when SNC's lobbying attempted to have the rule of law overturned and Trudeau's inner circle pushed it too hard. To his credit, he had placed two strong women in positions where they were relative stars in his cabinet. When this first blew up, if he'd simply done a mea culpa it would have blown over quickly and he might have come out ahead. Instead, he's blown a promising leadership and wasted the talents of JWR and JP because he chose old style politics. The ladies didn't want or plan to be independents, they just wanted to right what they correctly saw as a wrong. I applaud them.
