Re: “Former Whistler Blackcomb COO Dave Brownlie appointed president of Revelstoke Mountain Resort

So I've picked up the Sept. 6th hard copy of Pique "for more info on this story", flipped through three times and still can't find any article about this...

Re: “Steep Measures

I'm pretty sure it was Jim Conrad and not CFMI's DJ Donny Andrews that did the voice-over on that radio commercial.
You can hear his voice here:

Re: “Revisiting Renaissance

Guess the time is right to bring this project proposal back into the spotlight and find a good piece of property to build sooner than later...

Re: “Time to get serious about overtourism?

I like the example of what AirBNB has done in Amsterdam (the 60 day limit) and believe that it should be allowed here without the need for a special zoning or business license. Local residents that decide to jump the bubble and go on vacation should have the ability to fund their steep mortgages in part by helping visitors on a tight budget find affordable accommodation in Whistler, especially during high season when hotels are fully booked anyway.

Re: “Whistler Blackcomb season-pass sales likely to end in December

@Brandon Barrett
W/B should just put on their own website that it's $879 US, then the consumer can then do their own converting. This way, they'd discover that with today's exchange rate, they have to pay only $1069 and no tax.
I do get the feeling that the Epic pass is being discouraged as an option and even customer service seems to not really want to talk about it. Maybe because the regular WB-only season's pass costs so much more.

Re: “Whistler Blackcomb season-pass sales likely to end in December

Not sure why the Epic pass is listed at $1143.
It's $879 US, which converts to $1069 cdn at today's exchange rate.
Compare this GST-free price to the taxed W/B pass at $ 1343 and you have a savings close to $300.
Not sure why so many people seem to be overlooking the great value of an Epic pass which would still cost over $200 less than a spirit pass?
