Re: “Time to vote for change

Thank you for this article, which is clearly in favour of ProRep, even though not overly optimistic that it will actually passe.

Thank you also for your sense of humour coming through in expressions such as "setting the stage for a countrywide redesign of stop signs" and "Their hair-on-fire visions of doom and gloom if we vote against FPTP is enough for me to know it's probably a good idea."

Re: “Letters to the Editor for the week of November 8

Lynn: Tank you for giving us your unique perspective as a member of the BC Citizens Assembly. The no-side is attempting to twist your decisions and your recommendation for a ProRep model called STV into a negative, by saying that the Citizens Assembly REJECTED MMP and DMP. It is a sad state of affairs that this polarisation and partisan politics are dominating the headlines. And I don't hesitate to say that this negative political culture is allowed to flourish under FPTP.

Of course moving to ProRep will not solve all the problems. However, it's a heck of a good step in the right direction to empower ordinary citizens vis-a-vis the political elites that feel entitled to have 100% of the power with less than a true majority.
