You knew he was good, but even Jasey Jay Anderson had no idea that he was that good.
The Quebec-based snowboarder became the first world champion racer of the century with a convincing giant slalom win at Madonna di Campiglio, Italy, on Jan. 22.
"My goal was to win here, I cant believe I just accomplished my goal," said Anderson. "I had tremendous support right before my run. People were saying go get it Jasey, you can do it everyone was backing me up and this feels damn good.
"It has been a long trip and I had some good victories on the way but I havent been doing as good as I wanted in GS."
Dejan Kosir of Solvenia was the runner up, and Walter Feichter of Italy claimed the bronze medal.
