I would like to thank the organizers of the loppet and the Fairmont Chateau for staging an exceptional event.
This was my first ever loppet but it won't be my last! The course was superb and challenging, but the fun didn't end there. The facilities and welcome of the Chateau Spa, where we soaked our weary muscles in the outdoor hot tubs while basking in the sun and the terrific lunch, rounded out the day.
After many years of competing in a multitude of sporting events this was truly one of the best I've attended. The camaraderie of this event is likely the reason it has succeeded so well. It was inspiring to see the 70-year-old racers and the enthusiam of the children. I hope that other cross-country ski enthusiasts who have been hesitant to enter find themselves on the start line next year for a full day of fun.
