While Whistler RCMP look for the culprit in a recent hit and run incident on Blackcomb Mountain, the court case of a Colorado mountain employee who killed another skier at Vail is wrapping up in Eagle County.

On Jan. 30, the eve before Nathan Hall was to be sentenced for the 1997 incident, he admitted responsibility on Dateline NBC. "If I wouldn’t have been skiing that fast, I probably wouldn’t have lost control, and that accident wouldn’t have happened," said Hall.

The 21 year old was found guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the first case of its kind. The sentence could range from several years of probation to six years in prison.

Witnesses say he was going too fast and was out of control when he flew off a roller and collided with Alan Cobb on the last day of the ski season. Hall suffered a concussion as result and says he doesn’t remember the crash.
