The breakfast will take place at Teppan Village on May 5 at 9 a.m., after which point groups will break up and give all local bike trails their first sweep of the season. Maintenance duties include removing fallen debris, cutting alder and identifying major problems for WORCA to work on during the season. WORCA is also organizing a similar event in Pemberton on April 28 to help the Pemberton Off-Road Cycling Association (PORCA), starting at 9 a.m. at the Pemberton Bike Co.

WORCA will also be conducting eight trail nights throughout the summer. "With the explosion of popularity in mountain biking over the last few years it is becoming increasingly important for trail maintenance to take place," says Tony Horn, WORCA Director of Trails. "WORCA strongly urges mountain bikers to come out on these nights as well as the sweep days to ensure the future quality of riding in Whistler and Pemberton."

WORCA has also hired is annual trail maintenance crew, led by "Secret Trail’s" Chris Markle. Markle and his crew will do 400 man hours of work fixing major trail problems this summer.
