The Alta Lake School is hosting their first annual May Fair at the base of Blackcomb on Saturday, May 19 from noon to 3 p.m. Join us for an interactive afternoon of crafting, stories, food and fun! A low-cost family event for children ages 4-12 years.

HELPING HANDS

WHISTLER CHILDREN’S ART FESTIVAL.

The Whistler Children’s Art Festival on May 26-27 at the Myrtle Philip Community Centre is looking for volunteers who love to work with children, have an art background, or would simply like to help. There will be workshops for kids on dance, theatre, reading, writing and sculpting, among others. Anyone volunteering a minimum of four hours at this year’s festival will be invited to pre-register their children for the 2002 festival. Help make this community event a success. INTRODUCTION TO NORTHWEST COAST NATIVE ART.

Winter operations are now over. The Horstman Glacier opens for summer skiing/riding on June 11.

WHISTLER.

Still open for skiing and boarding to June 10, but from May 19 to June 10 sliders can share the Village Gondola with riders, as the mountain bike park is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
