Whistler-Blackcomb wins trophy at 24-hour relay

The Whistler-Blackcomb team outran and outcanvassed the competition at the 22 nd annual 24 Hour Relay for the Kids in Vancouver last weekend. They raised $29,260 for B.C.

The Whistler-Blackcomb team outran and outcanvassed the competition at the 22 nd annual 24 Hour Relay for the Kids in Vancouver last weekend. They raised $29,260 for B.C. children with disabilities, more than any other group in the hospitality category.

The Shark Club was second with $28,799, and Milestones was third with $23,332. All together the hospitality industry alone raised $128,057, while participants as a whole raised over $1.1 million.

Money raised at the 24 hour relay goes towards the B.C. Easter Seal camping program, which benefits more than 800 children with disabilities from across the province.
