Bizarre Bazaar calling on artisans

Whistler’s Bizarre Bazaar is already gearing up for this year with a call for artisans.

Whistler’s Bizarre Bazaar is already gearing up for this year with a call for artisans.

The annual November event is a showcase of talent from across the Sea to Sky Corridor, and with the rapidly growing number of participants, organizers are recommending artisans apply now to secure their table.

Bizarre Bazaar is a juried event with preference given to locals, meaning entrants must first submit three colour photos of their goods to be judged on originality, variety and esthetic qualities. All goods must be made by the artisan or someone known to them. Goods from other countries or those appearing to be commercially manufactured will not be considered.

The cost per table is $75 for locals, $125 for non-locals, with allocation determined by the date the application is received. The application deadline is Aug. 25. For full details and an application form contact the Whistler Community Arts Council at 604-935-8419, or stop by their office in Millennium Place.
