From Aug. 20 to 23, the Whistler Golf Course will host North America’s most promising young golfers as a selected stop on the American Junior Golf Association’s Future Links tour. Tour alumni include Canada’s Mike Weir and Tiger Woods, and more than 140 other tour veterans who are now on the PGA and LPGA tours.

The AJGA will host two tournaments in Canada this year, including an event in Toronto.

The Whistler event will take place over four days with a field of 59 boys and 15 girls, and half the field is guaranteed to Canadian players. Numerous Canadians who have participated in AJGA events, including Whistler’s Danielle O’Reilly, have earned scholarships to American Universities after gaining exposure on the tour. Through golf publications, the tour is expected to reach 1.5 million households.
