Sea to Sky school kids, aged 7-18 years-old, can save at least $9 through a new student card introduced by Whistler-Blackcomb.
The card is valid for 10 days on the mountain and costs $199. The regular student rate is anywhere from $29 to $54 per day.
The idea behind the card is to make skiing more affordable for students said VP of marketing and sales for Whistler-Blackcomb Stuart Rempel.
Interested students must fill out a form and get it stamped by their school before going to the Guest Relations department with a guardian or parent and purchasing the card.
The forms are available at any of the participating schools.
Students can only get one card each for the season but Sea to Sky Discount Cards will be available when the 10-day card is used up. The discount pass acts like an Express Card so students can save between $5 and $22 off the ticket window price.

Nicolson joins Whistler-Blackcomb
Whistler-Blackcomb also has a new manager of public relations and communications: Christopher Nicolson.
The B.C. native spent the last eight years with Sun Peaks as director of marketing and public relations for Tourism Sun Peaks.
He has also worked at St Anton, Austria, and at Silver Star in Vernon.
"We are pleased to have found a manager with a true passion for the industry with an extensive marketing and public relations background to lead Whistler Blackcomb’s PR and communications team," said Stuart Rempel, VP of marketing and sales.
Nicolson plans to live in the resort this winter then move to Pemberton with his wife Anne in the summer of 2002.
