A clean rescue Fire fighters have been known to rescue cats from trees, pry kids' heads from wrought iron fences and other odd-ball feats of daring-do. Whistler's fire department had one for the books, Feb. 10, when they were called on to rescue a woman from a shower. The 10:30 a.m. call came from an Alta Vista house where a cleaning woman had somehow jammed the shower door closed... with her inside. She spent the next 20 minutes contemplating life and the wonders of indoor plumbing. Firefighters jimmied the door open to set the woman free.
