Olympic bid result broadcast On Saturday, Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m. Pacific time the Canadian Olympic Association will announce the Canadian city chosen to contend for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Whistler Resort Association is planning to host a public get together to hear the announcement at the conference centre. The WRA is currently lobbying Canadian TV networks to secure live coverage of the announcement for public broadcast. Confirmation of this live broadcast will be announced on Mountain FM on Friday, Nov. 20. Regardless of whether the announcement is shown live on TV, the WRA extends an invitation to all Whistler residents to come and hear how the Vancouver-Whistler bid fared and enjoy some hot apple cider, between 1 and 2 p.m. in the conference centre.
