Powder Property Management reaches agreement with Sheraton Powder Property Management has signed a franchise agreement with ITT Sheraton Corporation to provide marketing and reservation services for the 154 suites in Whistler Town Plaza. Powder was recently appointed property and rental manager by the developer, Appia Developments. The complex, which is scheduled to open in December, will be called Sheraton Suites Whistler Town Plaza. Powder Property Management will also manage Appia Developments’ Stoney Creek townhomes, which are scheduled to open this winter. Whistler Town Plaza is a three-building development currently under construction next to the fire hall and municipal hall. It will feature more than 25 retail and restaurant outlets. Powder Property Management is the largest property management company in Whistler, operating and marketing 650 rooms, including the Radisson Blackcomb Suites, made up of The Aspens, Glacier Lodge, Greystone Lodge, The Marquise and Woodrun. Powder also manages the independent Le Chamois and the Timberline Lodge. The agreement with Sheraton will allow Powder to tap into the Sheraton reservation system, in addition to its own reservation system, essentially doubling the potential exposure and customer base. Brothers Rob and John O’Neill are the principles of Powder Property Management. They purchased the company from Blackcomb Skiing Enterprises one year ago.
