Taluswood expects to resume building in two weeks Despite rumours and a halt to construction Taluswood is not bankrupt and the development will continue, according to principal Rich MacIntosh. "We're not bankrupt or insolvent," MacIntosh says. "We have headaches and we have a huge concern for our sub-trades, who have done a tremendous job. "This is a six or seven year project, and the bank is just taking a long time to fund our last draw. We started slowing things down last week." Construction crews were pulled off the site last week and no work is being done at the moment. MacIntosh expects it will be about two weeks before construction starts up again. "We're re-negotiating financing with the bank right now. It's my full-time, all-waking-hours job." MacIntosh says Taluswood will be working on at least four buildings this winter, buildings that have already been sold. He indicated sales of Taluswood units are continuing. "We don't have a sales problem."
