WC passport

Passport has mouthful of discounts Let's just call it "the passport" because the official "Hongkong Bank Whistler Ski Classic Passport Program" is too much of a mouthful.

Passport has mouthful of discounts Let's just call it "the passport" because the official "Hongkong Bank Whistler Ski Classic Passport Program" is too much of a mouthful. But the passport is your meal ticket to a world of Whistler retail and entertainment discounts during World Cup week. Whistler locals can buy the first 500 passports at Nesters Market for $10, where they can earn special discounts off store items with the pass. The rest of the world must pay $15 for their yellow-ribboned laminated passport. The list of discount possibilities grows ever longer. Participating restaurants are offering two-for-one appies and other dining specials to passport wearers. Bars and pubs have cover charge discounts, or "consumption specials" in mind of a nature not allowed to be spoken aloud because of the province's weird and confusing liquor laws. Whistler Mountain will shake $10 off ski lift tickets to passport wavers during World Cup week. Profits from passport sales go to help cover World Cup expenses. Participating businesses can be identified by posters on the premises. Passports are available at Lower Mainland branches of the Hongkong Bank of Canada, and here at home at: Nesters Market, Whistler Mountain Guest Relations (at Creekside and the village), Whistler Chamber of Commerce, and the Whistler Activity Centre in the conference centre.
