What: A Midsummer Night’s Dream Where: Myrtle Philip school When: Saturday, Nov. 22, 3 and 7 p.m. Whistler Secondary students will be presenting two performances of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Saturday at Myrtle Philip school. The performances are part of a one-week Shakespeare workshop by Vancouver’s Bard on the Beach troupe. The Whistler Community Arts Council is sponsoring the week. Since Monday, 11 students have been rehearsing nightly under the direction of Tiffany Lyndall-Knight, who has written an abridged version of the play. The program is directed toward Whistler’s teens, a section of residents who do not have many arts opportunities directed towards them. The week-long workshop/residency is a first for the Bard on the Beach troupe, as well as for Whistler. Show times Saturday are 3 and 7 p.m.
