PEOPLE’S GALLERY OPENING . The gallery, at Maurice Young Millennium Place, opens Dec. 21 with The West Coast Artists. The show features work by Helga Ruiterman, Wera Peters, Peter Daniels, Raymond Chow, Lyle Macdonald and Vincent Massey. Reception is from 5 to 7 p.m.

. NICK . Join Whistler Parks and Recreation and the jolly old elf himself for festive activities, snowshoeing and Christmas caroling at the Lost Lake warming hut Saturday, Dec. 22, 1-3 p.m.

MOVING CHORDS YOUTH SHOW CHOIR

. The choir will be holding a Christmas concert at Maurice Young Millennium Place Dec. 22 at 3 p.m. the Whistler Singers and Colours on Key will join them.

CAROLING

: The Moving Chords Youth Show Choir, Whistler Singers and Colours on Key perform carols and Christmas music during a walk through the village Dec. 22. The singing starts at the Delta Whistler Resort at 7:30 p.m. and wraps up at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler at 9 p.m.

A CHILDREN’S NATIVITY.

Whistler Village Church presents the Christmas story in drama, words and song at Maurice Young Millennium Place Sunday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. Refreshments served. Admission by donation. For information call 604-935-8450.

CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS EVE CELEBRATION.

Whistler Village Church invites all to the traditional celebration, Dec. 24, 10:30 p.m. at Maurice Young Millennium Place. The service is presided by Reverend Harlene Walker.

SUBMERGE.

A teen dance at Meadow Park Sports Centre with a live DJ. The Dec. 29 event is a fund-raiser for the Whistler Youth Centre. Tickets are $10; fun starts at 9:30 p.m.

FIRST NIGHT.

An alcohol-free night of entertainment in the village on New Year’s Eve. Workshops, music, street entertainers, face painting, party hats – the whole shbang. But you can’t get in without a ticket, available from municipal hall, Meadow Park Sports Centre and the Myrtle Philip Community Centre.
