Did Aunt Ethel talk your ear off at this year’s Christmas dinner? A chance to tell the world what you really think happens at the Speakers’ Corner at this year’s First Night activities in Village Square.

Did Aunt Ethel talk your ear off at this year’s Christmas dinner?

A chance to tell the world what you really think happens at the Speakers’ Corner at this year’s First Night activities in Village Square.

At the Cable 6 tent, Dean Cote will tape people giving their New Year’s thoughts. The interactive session, shot on a Sony digital video camera, will be featured in real-time on a big screen TV outside the main area.

"The television booth will be open to everybody. They can give us their thoughts for New Year’s resolutions, say hello, and tell us what they think of Whistler," says Cote.

The show schedule will run along the same timeline as First Night activities, from 7 to 11 p.m.

"What we’re trying to do is bring (together) the village celebration, linking the different areas at midnight," adds production manager Ollie Kearnes. "There’s been a real shift in the First Night activities over the last five years."
