Fifty artists, three-dimensional works on display this year
What: Artrageous
Where: The Underground at Whistler Conference Centre
When: July 6, 7 p.m.
The arts in Whistler are celebrated Saturday evening at the annual Artrageous event.
Approximately 50 local visual artists will have work on display for the evening and there will live music from Whistlers own Big Up. There will also be palm and tarot card readings, fortune telling, digital photography portraits, caricatures, a cash bar and live auction.
A birdhouse painting workshop takes place between 3 and 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Artrageous has evolved from a small-scale event organized by artists to an annual festival, now sponsored by the Whistler Community Arts Council, Tourism Whistler and the Resort Municipality of Whistler. But local artists are still at the heart of the evening.
Tickets for Artrageous are $5 at the door.
