Volunteers are needed to help restore the Lost Lake wetland with native vegetation and to re-establish the riparian area along Blackcomb Creek through the Chateau Whistler Golf course.

The Fisheries Stewardship Group is extending an invitation to everyone who has supported the WFSG since 1996, including members, funders, local business and corporations.

Contact Veronica Sommerville or Lisa Helmer if you interested in helping out at 604-935-8323, or meet at the Lost Lake Park parking lot Oct. 1.

Museum seeks volunteers

The Whistler Museum and Archives is looking for volunteers.

The museum is looking for people to assist with our newest project, the digitization of approximately 10,000 images from the Whistler Question Photograph Fonds.

Volunteers are asked to provide one day per week until early December. Training in museum principles and practices, such as the care and handling of archival photographs, will be provided.

Those with an interest in community history and culture will find this opportunity very rewarding. The museum needs your support to make this important and exciting project a success.

If you have some spare time this coming fall and are interested, please contact Karen or Kris at the museum, located next to the library at 4329 Main Street. You can also call 604-932-2019 or e-mail: info@whistlermuseum.org
