Whistler Hosts Annual Oktoberfest Celebrations

Oktoberfest 2002 celebrations start in Whistler today (Oct. 25) and continue through Saturday, Oct. 26 with events such as the Grand Breakfast, Kids' Rootbeer Garden, Farmers Market and the Kids' Pumpkin Carving Contest.

Oktoberfest 2002 celebrations start in Whistler today (Oct. 25) and continue through Saturday, Oct. 26 with events such as the Grand Breakfast, Kids' Rootbeer Garden, Farmers Market and the Kids' Pumpkin Carving Contest.

Oktoberfest Parade kicks off in Whistler's Marketplace on Friday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m., and winds its way towards Village Square. Locals and visitors are invited to don lederhosen or dirndls and join the festivities.

Whistler's Upper Village is host to celebrations throughout the day on Saturday including a special Oktoberfest Farmer’s Market, which coincides with the Whistler Lions Club Grand Breakfast featuring the juggling antics of Mike Battie. Oktoberfest events will be held in and around the Blackcomb Daylodge as the conference centre is under renovations.
