Located above Castro’s Cuban Cigar Store in the St. Andrew’s Building, check it out for estate coffees and decadent desserts. Open Thursday-Sunday, 5 p.m. to midnight.

Sure it’s getting chilly, but The Dam has these great heaters that blast the warmth down onto their patio, so even when it’s cold, you don’t have to be.

The construction is now underway and the word is Black’s is going to have one almighty patio by the time winter rolls around.

Is exactly that, neighbourly, but it also has some of the very best pub food in Whistler.

What: Halloween Fun-raiser Masquerade Ball

Where: Delta Whistler Resort

Celebrate Halloween at the Delta Whistler Resort and help raise money for the Whistler Library-Museum Capitol Campaign. Tickets available at the Whistler Public Library and the Whistler Museum and Archives. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $30, which includes appetizers, dessert and music from DJ Pip.

Who: Alan Hertz and Friends

Where: The Boot Pub

Alan Hertz brings his incredible talent as a drummer, along with the talent of his friends, to create a varied landscape of music, both improv and set list.

Who: Connie Kaldor

Where: Millennium Place

Connie Kaldor is a Juno-award winning musician who glides from folk to country to rock to honky tonk to gospel to bluegrass to adult contemporary. And back again.

Who: Blue Steel

Where: Crystal Lounge

Last chance to catch Blue Steel before they take off to tour Europe and Australia and NZ for at least a year. Tonight is also a CD release party and promises to be one great night of acoustic music.

What: Down by the Docks Feed the Kids Tour

Where: Myrtle Philip Elementary School at 1 p.m.

The children’s entertainers, Down by the Docks have arranged these concerts with the support of the food banks. Tickets to the shows are to be exchanged for an item of food. Daryl, Shantelle and Leroy the Lobster will be recording their third CD this month, complete with exciting fun new songs.

Organised by Heavy Hitting Films, the GLC is playing host to a bunch of locally made short horror films. The inimitably artistic and talented Shits ’n’ Giggles will decorate the bar and Mr. Fister provides the "scary, spooky, funky, arse-shaking beats." Or so says organiser Feet Banks.
