Whistler on top of snowboard rankings

In their annual resort guide issue, Transworld Snowboarding released a list of the top 10 places to ride in North America. As usual, Whistler-Blackcomb made the top 10 for all three criteria, and was named the top overall snowboard resort.

In their annual resort guide issue, Transworld Snowboarding released a list of the top 10 places to ride in North America. As usual, Whistler-Blackcomb made the top 10 for all three criteria, and was named the top overall snowboard resort.

In the top 10 parks category, Snow Summit and Mammoth Mountain in California took the top two spots, while Whistler was ranked third. The other top 10 parks, in order, are Breckenridge, Colorado, Vail, Colorado, The Canyons in Utah, Timberline in Oregon, Mt. Bachelor in Oregon, Mt. Hood Meadows in Oregon and Kirkwood, California.

In the top 10 pipe category, Mammoth Mountain was first followed by Stratton in Vermont and Blackcomb was third. The others on the list included Breckenridge, Okemo in Vermont, Vail and Steamboat in Colorado, and California resorts Mt. Snow, Sierra-at-Tahoe, and Kirkwood.

In the Top 10 Overall category, which looks at parks, pipes, snow quality, nightlife and restaurants, Whistler made the top of the list. Mammoth was second and Breckenridge third. The others on the list include Snow Summit in California, Vail, Stratton, Steamboat, Mt. Bachelor, Timberline, and Mt. Hood Meadows.
